And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares Luke 21:34
What the great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ is basically telling us is to be prepared for the end times. Are you a prepper? In other words are you preparing for the end times?
Of course the first and most important preparation for the end times is to make sure that you are saved. If you are not sure that you are saved then read God's Gift of Salvation. Assuming most people who are reading this are saved what other preparations should you make for the end times?
Let's consider some possibilities of what might transpire on the earth in the near future; North Korea is threatening war which could escalate into a "hair raising nuclear confrontation," The dollar is on life support and could be dumped at any time sending us into the throes of hyperinflation, the coming war with Iran is looking like it could occur any day with serious ramifications to our oil supply, NASA scientists tell us that infrastructure crippling CMEs are possible in the near future. Computer worms threaten to take down infrastructure systems and cripple the financial system, rumors of a nuclear attack on a city or cities, the ongoing Gulf of Mexico oil disaster threatens the displacement of millions...need I go on?
Let's face it, we are faced with some scenarios that are not too pleasant to think about. What are Christians doing about it? Most Christians I know have done nothing to prepare for the possibility of being faced with infrastructure crippling situations.
Why? Is their heart "overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life," or are they afraid that they might be labeled in an unpleasant way? Or maybe they naievely think that nothing bad will happen before the rapture?
Many have been warning bad times are very possible in the near future and things could go downhill very quickly--just watch the video to get an idea.
Wake up brother and sister, and take heed to yourselves so that day does not come upon you unawares! Be a prepper!
